Bring microphones and playback sources together before sending sound to the speakers. The Mackie ProFX8v2 is an eight-channel live-audio mixer with USB connectivity and onboard effects, useful when an event needs more control than a speaker input alone provides.
Best for
Presentations, acoustic performances, speech-and-music setups and small live-audio mixes.
Choosing your setup
List every source that must be connected at the same time. Match the required microphone and playback inputs to the mixer, and leave time for a sound check with the people who will use it.
Compatibility and inclusions
This is a live-audio mixer, rather than a DJ player. Check the source connectors, USB requirements and speaker connections before booking; microphones and speakers are separate items.
Is this the same as a DJ mixer?
It is intended for combining live microphones and playback sources. A DJ mixer such as the DJM-700 suits a deck-based DJ setup; choose around the sources and controls you need.
